BankruptcyChapter 7Chapter 7 bankruptcy, or liquidation, allows an individual's unsecured debt to be discharged. Control of the individual's assets is given by the bankruptcy court to a trustee, who manages the selling off of all non-exempt assets; the proceeds from these sales go toward paying off the persons creditors and after the process is complete, all other unsecured debt is discharged. We work to ensure that all of our clients' most important assets are protected.Chapter 13Chapter 13 bankruptcy allows an individual to create a three-to-five year plan to make up late payments and repay his or her creditors; during that three-to-five year period, no legal action can be taken by a creditor against the individual so long as the plan is adhered to. We assist our clients in developing a plan that both meets their financial needs and the legal requirements for confirmation. Chapter 11Though more typically used by businesses, an individual with a high amount of debt who does not qualify for either a Chapter 7 or Chapter 13 bankruptcy may benefit from undergoing a Chapter 11 bankruptcy. A Chapter 11 bankruptcy allows a debtor to negotiate with his or her creditors and reach a mutually satisfying plan of repayment. We aid our clients in their negotiations with their creditors and assist them in creating a plan that meets their needs. We are a debt relief agency. We help people file for bankruptcy relief under the Bankruptcy Code.

Wills Trusts Estate Planning [General]We assist our clients to create a plan unique to their circumstances that ensures their wishes are clearly communicated and their assets properly distributed after their death. We offer services ranging from the creation and maintenance of living trusts to the writing of last wills and testaments as well as living wills and powers of attorney which ensure that a person's wishes are carried out in the event of their incapacitation. TrustsThrough a living trust, an individual can both manage his or her assets while alive as well as designate a trustee who will either distribute or continue to manage the assets contained in the trust after the individual's death. Trusts can be used to avoid probate which can be an expensive and time-consuming process associated with the admission of wills. Trusts are especially useful for individuals owning property in multiple states or worldwide.WillsA Last Will and Testament is designed primarily to ensure that a person's assets are distributed according to his or her wishes after death. An individual's will contains both instructions for the distribution of assets and the name of an executor who will carry out those instructions after the individual's death.Durable Powers of AttorneyA Durable Power of Attorney allows an individual to authorize another person to act on his or her behalf regarding financial or in some cases, medical matters in the case of the individual's incapacitation.Living WillsA Living Will allows an individual to detail his or her wishes regarding medical treatment in case he or she is incapacitated; this document does not, however, authorize another person to make medical decisions on behalf of that individual.
